Apply to Accessibility Services

Lafayette College will approve disability related accommodations after all steps are completed and it is determined by the Accessibility Services Coordinator that accommodations are necessary in accordance with Section 504 and ADA.

1. Provide documentation by fax, email, mail, or by delivering it in person (during the academic year) to Scott Hall (3rd floor- front desk). Please see Guidelines for Documentation for more information regarding documentation standards.

2. Have an initial conversation with the Accessibility Services Coordinator.

  • Current students, please make an appointment for a face to face appointment during the school year (phone appointments are available when school is not in session and you are not on campus).
  • First year and transfer students, this is usually done by a phone appointment in the summer, and then followed up with a face-to-face appointment in the first two weeks of school.  During your face-to-face appointment, you will also receive your accommodation letters.

All documentation should be forwarded to the Accessibility Services Office, in Scott Hall 300.  Documentation can be emailed to, faxed to (610) 330-3065, or dropped off at the front desk in the Academic Resource Hub(3rd Floor, Scott Hall).

It is helpful to have the documentation prior to the initial conversation so that the Accessibility Services Coordinator is aware of your condition and can ask appropriate questions.

After meeting the above steps, accommodations become final during a conversation with the student (Initial Conversation Meeting).
