LiveScribe Echo SmartPen

A “smartpen” huh? Livescribe pens are a note-takers dream, it will record everything you hear, say, and write while linking the audio recordings to your notes. This allows you to be able to go back and listen to the lecture by just tapping your notes.

No more having to fumble through your phone and dig up the voice memos and not sure what your professor was describing or where in the notes they were talking about particular concepts, you can search for the information in your electronic notes. And if multitasking is not your thing, this pen makes it easier to either focus on writing or listening; when reviewing simply play the audio while adding to your existing notes.

The smartpen allows for an easy way to take notes and be organized, lessons can be replayed with a simple tap on the notes. And for students who prefer to have typed notes, LiveScribe offers an Echo Desktop app that allows you to upload your notes onto your computer.

The Academic Resource Hub offers students who have been approved for a note-taker or recording technology in classroom accommodation the opportunity to borrow LiveScribe pens, based on availability. Any student who is approved for these accommodations can contact the Academic Resource Hub at resourcehub@lafayette.edu for more information about its use.
